Skin Food Spa Therapies

Skin Food Spa Therapies

A way of using everyday ingredients from nature to cleanse, balance, heal and nourish the skin.

Skin Food is all about working with the natural processes of the skin. It is not about a quick fix but rather, a slow and gentle journey of discovering a unique, simple and sustainable way to feed and support your skin.

Natural and organic, gentle and effective ingredients are carefully selected and applied to the skin during a massage-focused, spa style facial treatment.

A Skin Food facial is not just about the products being used. It is a full body treatment that is focused on balance, stimulating circulation, revealing radiant skin, encouraging relaxation, and relieving stress and tension. After years of practice, Georgia has found the most convenient and easy ways to get in a good skincare routine using everyday ingredients like oatmeal, clays, rice flour, spices, honey, yoghurt, oils and so on. The treatment includes all the steps of a tradition facial- double cleanse, exfoliate, massage, masque, tone, moisturise.

Many online recipes for homemade skincare are great, however there are so many that don’t use the correct ingredients and/or quantities and this can be harmful and damaging. Georgia hopes to teach people how to use the right ingredients safely and effectively.

We all have a skin type and we all have skin ‘conditions’. Our skin is affected by so many things, like seasonal and environmental changes, the food we eat, our emotions, hormones and so on. By learning about each ingredient, you can modify your daily cleanser or your weekly masque, for example, depending on what your skin needs at the time.

As this approach is not for everyone, Georgia will be more than happy to give you her best recommendations on natural and sustainable skincare brands. If you aren’t interested in making your own, but you are interested in sustainability and using natural products, she can talk you through her favourite brands and recommend the best range to suit your needs and preferences.
